This term, Falcon Class @FP transformed into a bustling workshop as the children took on the challenge of designing and building their own wooden bridges. To ensure their structures were sturdy and stable, the students practised accurately measuring every piece of wood before making precise cuts with junior hacksaws. With safety at the forefront of their minds, they carefully used glue guns to join their components together, bringing their technical drawings to life. It was wonderful to see such focus and craftsmanship as they tested their finished bridges to see which designs could withstand the most weight!
In more exciting news, Falcon Class is celebrating after winning five beautiful fruit trees to enhance our school grounds! The children took a trip down to the Forest School area to carefully dig the soil and find the perfect spots for our new additions. It was a fantastic hands-on lesson in nature conservation as everyone worked together to ensure the saplings were planted securely. We are all looking forward to watching these trees grow and eventually harvesting our very own school-grown fruit!
