Our talented young poets have been exploring the wonderful world of similes and metaphors, learning how to use creative language to bring their writing to life! ✍️📚

A simile compares two things using the words like or as — for example, “Her smile was as bright as the sun.” ☀️

A metaphor describes something as if it were something else, without using like or as — for example, “The classroom was a zoo!” 🦁
