Message from Exec. Headteacher
As we come to the end of a busy and productive term, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our children and families a very happy, restful, and safe Spring break. It has been a wonderful term filled with learning, growth, and many achievements across the school.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to you all for your continued support. Your partnership with the school makes a significant difference to the children’s success and wellbeing, and it is greatly appreciated by all staff.
We are currently looking for a volunteer to support in the library after school. If you are able to offer some of your time, please contact the school office—we would be delighted to hear from you.
At the end of this term, we will be saying goodbye to Mr Giquel, who has been a valued member of our Year 1 team. We thank him for his dedication and wish him all the very best in his next chapter. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome back Ms Bodington, who will be returning to the Rangefield team with our Year 1 children – she couldn’t stay away!
Please keep an eye out for your child’s report, which will be shared shortly. We encourage you to read it carefully and send any comments or feedback back to the school.
Over the break, I encourage all children to continue reading regularly – it is one of the most valuable ways to support their ongoing learning. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the summer term, where we will continue to build on the excellent progress the children have been making. Wishing you all a lovely break, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Message from Head of School
We have reached the end of another term. The school has been lively today with children searching for eggs!! We are sending them home somewhat over excited…..sorry!
We have encouraged the children to read daily and do some times tables over the break ~ your support with that would be much appreciated.
Have a really good Easter break and I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed, looking smart and with a PE kit on Monday 13th April.

Book Gifting
We were delighted to host our second Children’s Book Project gifting event, which was a great success. Children enjoyed choosing and taking home their own books, helping to build excitement around reading and ensuring they have access to books beyond the classroom.
It was especially lovely to welcome parents to join the event, sharing in the experience and supporting their children in selecting books together.
The event was a wonderful way to celebrate World Book Day, build on the enthusiasm from our recent author visit, and contribute to the National Year of Reading — reinforcing our commitment to making reading a central and enjoyable part of school life.
Achievements
In class I have been learning about the American artist Robert Seldon Duncanson.
I used water colour and a black pen to create and outline my still life drawing of a banana, an apple, a pear and some grapes.
My pear looks good enough to eat and I am really pleased with it – Joshua (4EB)
Alexia in Year 5 – “I feel really proud of myself”
Armela in Year 5 – “I feel talented and proud of my shouting sun”
Meningitis Symptoms
Recent news reports have highlighted a concerning rise in meningitis cases in the UK, particularly linked to an outbreak in Kent affecting young people and students.
Although the overall risk to the wider public remains low, awareness is crucial — especially for parents of teenagers and young adults.
We have included below a fact sheet of meningitis symptoms:
Arbor – Parent Portal Reminder
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to our new Arbor Parent Portal. As of Monday this week, 94% of parents and carers have registered – which is fantastic!
We are now asking the remaining families to complete their registration as soon as possible. Reminder emails were sent again on Monday to the final 6% who have not yet signed up.
If you need any help or support with the process, please don’t hesitate to contact our school office.
