Message from Exec. Headteacher

The end of summer 1 has arrived and just in time for a glorious week of warm weather. The children are ready for a break, as are the teachers and I hope that you are able to spend some valuable time with your child/children over the break. As the evenings are lighter and children maybe playing out for a little longer, please keep reminding your children about stranger danger and keeping safe at all times. We all want the children to enjoy their childhood but we all want them to remain safe and sometimes that little reminder is what they need. The diary is quite full next term with lots of trips, visits and events taking place, which is very exciting for the children, we will of course continue their learning journey until the end of the term as their progress is most important. Please look out for the academic review day appointments that will be coming out next term as many of you have said in your response in the survey, how much you valued this last year. Have an amazing half term, remember the sun cream.

Our Year 6 children have completed their SAT’s this week and we are all very proud of the resilience they have shown and effort that they have put in to their work throughout their primary school years. They have much to look forward to but of course the learning will continue, so that they are ready for their transition to secondary school. Well done Year 6 and thank you to all the parents for their support and commitment to their children’s education.

We are once again looking for Parent Governors across the Federation and I will sending out application forms and voting forms over the next few weeks. Please do come in and speak to me about the role and the expectations of commitment. Your support and representation of the community is valued and we welcome those who are committed to making a difference to the children across our Federation.

Parental Survey

Please use the link here:- PARENT SURVEY to complete a short parental survey, as we strive to continue to improve and listen to what you have to say as parents.

Message from Head of School

We have come to the end of another term! Despite it having been cold and grey, we are in mid-May. SATs are done and dusted for Year 6 and I was incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves. Calm, focused and really mature in what can be a stressful time. Results are due back just prior to the summer holidays, whatever the numbers they can hold their heads high. Phonics screening and the Year 4 multiplications tests are coming up soon. For all children from an early age a quick recall of the Times Tables is fundamentally important to progress in maths. Please practise at home.

The final term of the year is full of events for both pupils and parents. I hope you will be able to get involved in many of them.

Enjoy the half-term break and the long awaited sun that we are being promised.

Quick Reminder – Before School Routines

We have recently noticed an increasing number of children arriving in the local area very early before school and spending time in the nearby park. As you may be aware, the council has placed large mounds of topsoil there as part of upcoming work on the football pitches. While this may look inviting, these areas are not safe for play.
Unfortunately, some children have been using the soil piles as a playground, arriving at school very dirty and, more importantly, unsupervised. We have also received a number of concerns from members of the local community.
We kindly ask that parents and carers ensure children are appropriately supervised before school. If your child is making their way to school independently, please remind them to come straight to the school site rather than stopping off along the way.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep all our children safe and maintaining positive relationships within our community.

A huge thank you to all the parents, carers and children who joined our arts and crafts workshop. It was wonderful to see everyone getting creative, having fun, and engaging so enthusiastically with the activities. The energy, laughter, and imagination shared throughout the session made it a truly enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
