Message from Head of School

A huge thank you to our parents for organising the girls’ event on Tuesday evening. The girls had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to come together for a fun and memorable evening. We are very grateful for the time and effort that went into making the event such a success. All funds raised will go towards supporting the Year 6 end-of-year events, helping to create lasting memories for our pupils as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.

Rev Stuart from St Barnabas Church will be known to you all.  He has been a stalwart of the local community for many years.  This weekend will see him leading his final service before moving onto new challenges in Norfolk.  He has been a welcoming host and regular visitor to the school over the years.  We thank him and wish him every happiness for the future. A letter from Rev Stuart.

We are once again hosting a Festival of Us on July 16th. The last one was a real success. The children will be learning about a range of countries and cultures in class, ready for the day.

Last year was also great thanks to the range of foods on offer. I would be delighted if parents would again consider cooking something traditional to them. We will need to label everything for allergens but the chance to share new food together would be great.

🙏 Thank you 🙏

Thanks to your incredible generosity (in particular Alaiya-Skye’s Dad) we were able to provide Jimmy with a PS5 and a games voucher enough to buy plenty of new games. Jimmy came into school last week. It was lovely to see him and his parents, he got to catch up with friends and went home with his gift. The treatment journey is far from over, but his determination and bravery are shining through.

Pure Golf

Rangefield was very lucky to welcome Pure Mini Golf to school on Tuesday. The children had a fantastic time taking part in mini golf sessions, playing in teams and developing their accuracy, patience and sportsmanship.
Throughout the day, the children enjoyed friendly competition and showed great enthusiasm as they worked their way around the course. The event concluded with an exciting final, where the highest-scoring players competed to be crowned champions.

Well done to all of the children for their excellent participation and a special congratulations to our finalists and winners!

They are: Reception: Nova; Year 1: Harry; Year 2: Reon; Year 3: Leo; Year 4: Jada; Year 5: Halle; Year 6: Thakshiya.  The overall winner with a massive 14 points is Reon – very well done!

Achievements

Nikshitha has designed the most beautiful giraffe in her art lesson. She tells us she wants to be an architect – her drawing skills will definitely support her in her dreams! Well done from everyone at Rangefield.  Click on him to make him bigger!

Stunning Art ..

Year 2 have been studying the work of Claude Monet in art, with a particular focus on his famous Water Lilies paintings. Inspired by Monet’s use of colour, light and reflection, the children explored watercolour techniques and added pastel details to create their own beautiful water lily artworks. We are very proud of their creativity and the wonderful results.

Sharing Stories with our Families

Year 2 have been writing stories and on the last day of the half term we invited our parents in to share our amazing work. The children loved making their stories into books to show their work to their parents, they all felt proud of their work and loved sharing it!

Buddies @ FP After School Club

VE Day Celebrations: This month, the children at Buddies @ FP had a wonderful time celebrating VE Day. They enjoyed making and decorating delicious cakes, which helped them learn about the importance of this special historical event while having lots of fun.

Our VE Day picnic was a huge success, with children enjoying a range of activities, sharing food together, and spending quality time with their friends. It was fantastic to see everyone joining in and celebrating as a community.

Outdoor Adventures: The children have also been making the most of the outdoor space by building tents and creating their own imaginative play areas. They have worked together brilliantly, developing teamwork, problem-solving skills, and creativity while having fun outdoors.

We are proud of the enthusiasm, imagination, and friendships that continue to grow at Buddies @ FP and look forward to sharing more exciting activities with you next month!
