Under 7 girls only football league will be available for girls in Reception and Year 1 next year, for the first time ever!
To date, girls locally have had to wait until Under 9 or 10 to be able to play football league matches, whereas 100s, possibly even thousands, of boys start playing at Under 7. It is time to take another step towards equality.
South London Girls Football Academy, in partnership with NXT Level Sports & Education are providing a fuss free, empowering entry into football for young girls. Please see details below and an attached flyer if you would like to share with your school community.
🏟️ About the League
- Start Date: Sunday 14th September
- End Date: Sunday 19th April
- Game Weeks: 25 total (with breaks for school holidays and half terms)
- Time: Sundays at 11am
- Location: Colfe’s School, SE12 8AW (2G all-weather pitch)
- Format: 3-a-side games (no goalkeepers), max 4 players per team
- Game Length: 4 x 10-minute quarters
- Each player sits out one quarter (unless only 3 players – then they play the whole match)
- No coach needed – a game manager will supervise and support
⚽ Who Can Join?
- Players can sign up individually, in pairs/small groups, or as a team
- You don’t need to be part of a club or team to take part
- Friends can request to play together
💷 Cost
- £200 per player for the season
- £150 if registered before July 5th
