Message from Head of School

It is hard to believe that we have already reached the end of our first half term. The weeks really have flown by! It has been a wonderfully busy start to the school year, filled with new learning, exciting opportunities, enrichment activities, and plenty of fun along the way. I am incredibly proud of how well the children have settled and of everything they have achieved already.

A special thank you to everyone for your incredible Harvest Festival donations – your generosity will make a real difference to our local foodbanks. Last week, the children received a wonderful assembly from Reverend Nick Walsh, who spoke about resilience and kindness. These are two of our core school values that our children show every single day, and it was lovely to hear them reflected so meaningfully.

The children all looked wonderfully smart for their individual and sibling photos recently! As a quick reminder, if you would like to order photos, please follow the instructions on the order slip that was sent home with your child.

Talking of dressing up, this week we have been getting very ghoulish, with the children enjoying our annual spooky discos! The costumes were brilliant and the children had a fantastic time on the dance floor. A huge thank you to Ms Mills for setting this up, and to our wonderful Friends of Forster Park for all their hard work and support in making it such a memorable event.

Please remember that our Parents’ Evening will be held during our first week back after the break, on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th November. Time slots are now available for booking. Our teachers are excited to meet with you and celebrate all the wonderful work and progress the children have made so far.

As we reach the end of a very busy few weeks, I would like to thank our children, staff, and families for such a positive start to the school year. There has already been so much to celebrate at Forster Park, and I am very much looking forward to everything the next half term will bring.

I hope all our children and families have a happy, safe, and restful half-term break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting half term on Monday 9th November.

Help shape Lewisham’s future

Lewisham residents are being encouraged to have their say on the borough’s future by taking part in a new survey that will help shape the Council’s Plan for Lewisham.

The survey asks for feedback on the Council’s proposed priorities over the coming years. These priorities will help shape a new Plan for Lewisham that reflects the ambitions, needs and aspirations of people who live, work and study in our borough.  The plan will focus on creating a borough where everyone can thrive, with priorities centred on improving opportunities, tackling inequalities, supporting healthier communities, strengthening neighbourhoods, building a sustainable future and ensuring residents remain at the heart of decision-making. They survey closes for contributions on the 1st November 2026.

Residents can complete the survey online.
