Celebrating an Incredible Year!
As we reach the final days of the academic year, I want to take a moment to look back and celebrate the extraordinary journey we have shared. This year has been filled with determination, joy, and countless achievements. I could not be prouder of our children and staff, and I am incredibly grateful to our entire school community for your unwavering support.
From our youngest learners taking their first steps in Reception to our Year 6 pupils preparing to transition to secondary school, the children at Forster Park have truly shone.
A Year of Rich Experiences & Enrichment
Our commitment to providing a vibrant, well-rounded education goes far beyond the classroom. This year, we have worked hard to build our children’s cultural capital and provide enrichment opportunities that inspire a lifelong love of learning. From sporting Our pupils have represented Forster Park with outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship across numerous local sporting events to making a splash, with the real highlight of our physical education program this year was facilitating our temporary on-site mobile swimming pool. This allowed us to run intensive, highly successful swimming lessons, ensuring our Key Stage 2 children built vital life skills and confidence in the water. Or bringing the curriculum to life through excellent curriculum achievements and a wide variety of educational visits, our children have connected their classroom learning to the wider world. These trips and hands-on experiences have sparked curiosity and deepened understanding across all subjects.
Academic Excellence: Exceeding Expectations
We are absolutely thrilled to share that the children at Forster Park have once again exceeded expectations academically.
From Reception right through to Year 6, our pupils have approached their statutory assessments with incredible focus and resilience. We are proud to announce that the results we have received are all in line with, if not above, provisional National figures. This is a monumental achievement and a true testament to the hard work of our pupils, the dedication of our teaching staff, and the support you provide at home.
Silver Accreditation: I am also proud to announce that we received our Silver Accreditation from My Happy Mind, another reason to celebrate all that is Forster Park.

To our wonderful Year 6 cohort: as you prepare to leave Forster Park, we want you to know how immensely proud we are of you.
The progress you have made since first joining our school family is nothing short of remarkable. You have grown into mature, thoughtful, and capable young people. Over the final term, you have worked exceptionally hard to prepare yourselves for the next step in your educational journey. As you move on to secondary school, carry the values of Forster Park with you—remain kind, stay curious, and always aim high. We wish you all the very best of luck; we will miss you!

Fond Farewells to Our Staff
As we close for the Summer break on Tuesday, we will be saying goodbye to several valued members of our staff. Please join me in thanking them for their dedication and wishing them the absolute best in their next chapters.
Ms. Chima has worked for our federation for 12 years. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and wish her all the very best as she takes on her exciting new role in education.
Ms. Bisi has also had a deep and lasting impact on the children within our Resource Base. She is embarking on a wonderful new adventure, heading to University to train for a brand-new career. We wish you the best of luck with your studies, Miss Bisi!
Ms. Brockwell has had an incredibly positive impact on our Resource Base and the children within it. She will be moving to a school in Lambeth to take on a senior leadership role within their Resource Base. Thank you, Ms. Brockwell, for your leadership and care.
Mrs. Gonsalvez: We also send our warmest congratulations and a temporary farewell to Mrs. Gonsalvez, who is leaving us to expect her second child. We wish her, Aaron, and their little one Max all the very best of luck as their family grows!
Ms Houston: We will also be saying goodbye to Ms Houston who has been a truly valuable member of staff for the last few years and made a huge difference to our KS2 team! Ms Houston has not been with us the last few weeks due to ill health but I know you will join me in wishing her well and a huge thank-you for all she has done within Forster Park.
Mr. Braganza has had a wonderful impact across the entire school during his 9 years with us. While we are sad to see him leave Forster Park, we are delighted that he isn’t going far! He is moving to our federated school, Rangefield. Good luck, Mr. B!

Finally, as previously shared, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Mr. Killip. He is taking a well-deserved step upward into his very first Headship. I know you will all join me in offering a huge, thank you to Mr. Killip for his years of outstanding service and leadership at Forster Park. We have no doubt he will be a fantastic Headteacher!
Looking Ahead
Academic Review Day: I look forward to seeing as many parents and carers as possible on Monday 20th July to celebrate your child’s individual progress.
Last Day of Term: School will officially close for the Summer holidays on Monday 20th July.

Our talented pupil, Jahmari, created these independently at home, showing fantastic creativity, imagination, and dedication. We were so impressed with the time and effort he put into his work that we wanted to share it with our school community.

Congratulations to Kirithish!
We are delighted to celebrate Kirithish’s fantastic achievement in the **Chitambara Maths Challenge 2026**. Kirithish was awarded the **Outstanding** category and received a trophy in recognition of his excellent mathematical ability, hard work, and problem-solving skills. This is a wonderful accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of his success. Congratulations, Kirithish, on this well-deserved achievement, and keep up the excellent work!
Celebrating Our myHappymind Journey! …
Our children (and staff!) recently celebrated successfully completing all of the myHappymind modules with a fantastic Character Strengths Dress-Up Day.
Everyone came to school dressed as a character or symbol representing one of the five myHappymind character strengths: Teamwork & Friendship, Love & Kindness, Bravery & Honesty, Love of Life & Our World, and Exploring & Learning. We were amazed by the creativity on display, with children arriving as scientists, superheroes, firefighters, explorers, animals, storybook characters and many more imaginative creations.
The day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the positive qualities that help us learn, grow and support one another. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm from both the children and staff, making the event a fun and memorable way to recognise everyone’s achievements throughout the myHappymind programme.
A huge thank you to all our families for supporting the day and helping to make it such a special celebration!
We Won Silver …
We are thrilled to share that Forster Park has been awarded Silver Accreditation for myHappymind! This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our whole school community in embedding wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. From our pupils’ thoughtful reflections on their character strengths, to staff championing the programme in their own practice this recognition is a testament to how far we’ve come in nurturing happy, resilient learners. A huge thank you to our children, staff, and families for making wellbeing a genuine priority at Forster Park. As Tiwalola, one of our ambassadors said: ‘I hope the next generation continue so we can earn Gold Accreditation’

The Festival of Us
Thank you for coming and bringing food to our school’s Festival of Us. Thank you for listening to the amazing songs, enjoying the dances and steel pan performances, and celebrating with us. Your support, enthusiasm, and participation helped make the day so special. We hope you had a wonderful time, and we look forward to celebrating together again next year!
A Full Circle Moment
This week, I had the pleasure of welcoming some very special visitors back to Reception. As our Year 6 pupils prepare to leave Forster Park Primary School and begin their exciting journey to secondary school, they joined us for one final story time where it all began.
Teaching most of these children when they first started school has made this a truly emotional moment. Watching them grow from curious little Reception children into kind, confident and resilient young people has been an absolute privilege, and I couldn’t be prouder of all they have achieved.
It was wonderful to see them back on the Reception carpet, sharing stories and creating one last special memory before they spread their wings.
We wish all of our Year 6 pupils every success for the future. Good luck, you’ll always be part of the Forster Park family.
Work Experience @FP
We’ve been incredibly fortunate to welcome such enthusiastic, hardworking, and helpful work experience students to Forster Park this year.

Hi, my name is Dillon, I go to Bonus Pastor Catholic College and have work experience as I am in Year 10, I chose to do my work experience here at Forster Park Primary School.
I’ve learnt how to manage hard jobs with fellow colleagues, My Dad, Denie, works here at Forster Park, and I chose to work with him for the last week of work experience. With him I have done some premises officer work which is hard, but he helped me until I got better. I was also doing work here with Marisha and Rea to understand how hard it is to work at reception as it gets extremely busy. I have also worked with Peter the IT technician, he’s taught me a lot about computers and components. I would recommend coming here for work experience.
My name is Filip Zakrzewski and I am a Forster Park 2022 leaver, I now study at Bonus Pastor Catholic College. During my time at work experience I have helped teachers with their duties, helped students with education and playground activities. My favourite part of my work experience at Forster Park Primary was working with my friends and teachers from the past.
Hey, I’m Thiago, an alumnus at Forster Park Primary School. I’m currently doing work experience here and honestly having a great time.
I’m doing jobs such as helping with incoming deliveries and stock organisation and sorting out a bunch of student equipment that they will be using next year.
I’ve additionally been popping into different classes and asking different teachers if help is needed with anything.
Honestly its been really fun, the kids are funny and welcoming, staff are nice and honestly an amazing place to be at.
Year 5 Memoirs
As our Year 5 pupils prepare to take their next step up the school, they have been busy reflecting on an incredible academic year. To introduce themselves to their new teacher, Mrs Radu, the children have been writing personal memoirs capturing their absolute favourite moments from the past three terms.
Reading through their memories is a wonderful reminder of just how much we have packed into this year. Some pupils wrote vivid accounts of our exciting trip to P Louise in Manchester, while others relived the unforgettable thrill of meeting professional footballer Danny Welbeck. There were also plenty of brilliant, muddy, and courageous tales from our chilly but thrilling PGL adventure last winter.
These memoirs are not only a fantastic showcase of Year 5’s growing writing talents, but they also give Mrs Radu a brilliant window into the unique personalities, passions, and sense of adventure heading her way. I will miss them all a great deal.
